Shadow Bound (Unbound Series #2)

Shadow Bound - Rachel Vincent If I thought that there were a lot of difficult choices in Blood Bound, the choices Kori and Ian face in Shadow Bound are just about impossible. Kori’s still in the dog house for her role in the events that took place in Blood Bound, and you know Jake Tower hasn’t forgiven her yet. Warning: The description of Kori’s punishment are violent and graphic, and not for the faint of heart.Who’s Ian, you ask? Well, he’s a Blinder – which means he can call up darkness. Definitely helpful to have around when you’re a Traveler under watch; he calls the darkness, you step in it. But I digress. Kori’s been tasked with getting Ian to sign with the Tower syndicate, and failure is not an option. Especially not when her sister Kenley is involved. It won’t be easy. Ian has ulterior motives for letting Tower court him – he’s on a mission to save his brother’s life. He’s heard of Kori, none of it flattering. Still, he can’t figure her out – why is Tower’s most notorious bodyguard babysitting him? And what’ll he do when he finds out?The beginning of Shadow Bound is a bit slow, as we learn of Kori’s fall from grace, and Jake’s threats if she fails this assignment. As she starts showing Ian around though, Kori’s regular sassiness makes an appearance – and she walks a fine line between sass and outright disobedience. Once the action starts, you won’t be able to put this down.Shadow Bound is a fast-paced read after that beginning, and you’re not going to believe what happens. I am anxiously waiting for more of this series, I have to find out what happens next!drey’s rating: Excellent!
