Silence has been on my library hold list since it came out, and the only reason it took me this long to get to it was because I had so many other books to get through first…drey’s thoughts:Well. Where do I start? Silence starts with Nora Grey waking up in the cemetery, not remembering the last five months of her life. Yup, including Patch… And for reasons she cannot fathom at all, her mother’s dating Hank Millar, father of her arch-enemy Marcie. Can life be more complicated? You’ve surely heard the saying “Ignorance is Bliss.” Well, in Nora’s case, it’s not – and not even anywhere close. She is lost and confused and ticked off about it. So off she goes to grill everybody she thinks might have some inkling of what happened to her, not knowing that the big bad is right in front of her… Of course, we know what happened, but we can’t just tell her…Nora gets a bit whiny in this installment – and somewhat bitchy in the scenes with her mother and Hank, but I think that’s completely understandable. Scott showing up is a bit puzzling, especially when he starts to show his face in public – that did not make sense at all. And Patch. Dear Patch, next time decide to break the rules of the game as soon as you know the other guy’s not playing fair. Don’t wait till you think you don’t have a choice. Just sayin’.The storytelling is superb as usual (barring the “huh?” sections), and you will not put this down until you find out what happens to Nora, Patch, and Hank. And after that, you’ll be waiting impatiently with me for book 4 – coming in Fall 2012. *sigh*drey’s rating: Excellent!
